Banda formada por Jon Spencer (Blues Explosion, Pussy Galore) e Matt Verta-Ray (Speedball Baby), gravada com duas bandas de apoio (the Sadies, do Canadá e membros do Powersolo e Tremolo Beer Guts), esse disco segue a mesma linha do primeiro. Mais rockabilly, uivos insanos de Jon Spencer e músicas de botar sorriso na cara de qualquer um, como They Were kings, Double Line e Crazy Pretty Baby. Sem muito mais pra dizer, quase todo mundo já deve conhecer, mas não deixa de valer o download.

Os Lords of Altamont fazem um som sujo e pesado, algo como uma mistura dos Stooges com os Doors, com influências de psicotrópicos e velhos exploitations de motoqueiros, tudo de forma tosca e selvagm, altamente recomendável. Vou ser sincero, tô com preguiça de falar mais, resumi tanto quanto eu pude, então, se te pareceu animador, baixe, se não pareceu, baixe também, você não vai se decepcionar.

The Lords of Altamont play dirty and heavy music, something like a crossover between the Stooges and the Doors, with psicotropics and biker exploitation influences, everything in the rawest and wildest way possible, highly recommendable. Being sincere, i'm in a lazy mood and don't want to write anymore, I made it as short as I could, so, if it looks nice to you, download it, and if it doesnt, download it anyway, it won't disappoint you.

Sick Rose - Faces

Num mundo em que basta ter um cordão de osso e uma botinha de bico fino pra tocar garage, é sempre bom ouvir uma pérola como esse disco. O Sick Rose era um grupo italiano dos anos 80 e um dos melhores que eu já ouvi, não interessa época, estilo ou o que for, e esse álbum (o primeiro LP deles) mostra exatamente por que eles são tão bons. Fuzz tão alto quanto possível, o bom e velho Farfisa, músicas agressivas e cruas sem perder o espírito e a energia de 66. Não tenho muito o que dizer, todas as músicas desse disco são excelentes e é um disco essencial pra qualquer um que s diga fã do garage rock. Aparentemente, o Sick Rose acabou seguindo a sina de muitas bandas do estilo e adotou um som mais puxado pro hard rock, apesar de o vocalista Luca Re nunca ter largado de fato o cave-beat, montando o igualmente excelente 99th Floor (que deve figurar aqui em breve)

In a world where all it takes to play 'garage' is a bone necklace and a pair of chelsea boots, it's always nice to listen a pearl like this album. Sick Rose was an italian group that started somewher in the 80s and one of the best that i've heard, despite the generation. Fuzz at maximum level, the good old Farfisa, snarly vocals and raw and agressive songs that nevr forget the 66' spirt. I have nothing els to say, all the songs are excellnts and it's an essential record for any self-claimed garage rock fan. Apparently, Sick Rose followed a similar path to many of the bands of the ra and adopted a more hard rock influenced song, though the singer Luca Re never rally left the cave-beat, starting the equally amazing 99th Floor (that'll figure in this blog pretty soon)

Coffin Nails - The Dead Don't Get Older

Novo disco dos veteranos do Coffin Nails, prova que o nome do título não é a toa, a banda ainda faz bonito nas 12 novas canções apresentadas pelos caras. Six Feet Under (a segunda, primeira sem contar a intro) tem um ritmo maníaco e singalongs animais, prontos pra animar qualquer wrecking pit, e a loucura segue até a mais calma, porém exclente The Dead Don't Get Older, mas Stop Dreaming já recupera o fôlego, e a demência come solta até o final do disco. Baixem agora, obrigatório!

New album by the veterans of Coffin Nails, the album itself proves it's title, the band still does it right in these new 12 tracks. Six Feet Under (the second, first if you ignore the intro) has a maniac rhythm and amazing singalongs, ready to rock the wrecking pits of the world, and the insanity goes on 'till the slower (but still amazing) The Dead Don't Gt Older, but Stop Dreaming catches the breath again, and the insanity goes on and on till the end of the album. Get it now, obligatory!

Dan Melchior - This is not the Medway Sound!

Mais um dos gênios de Medway, a música deste senhor pode ser chamada sem erro nenhum de Medway delta blues, tão punk e lo-fi quanto blues pode ser. Tendo colaborado com Billy Childish e Holly Golightly em dois discos muito interessantes (Devil in the Flesh e Painted On, respectivamente), fui procurar algum álbum solo do cara e descobri que ele é muito melhor 'jogando' sozinho ou com sua banda, a Broken Revue. Destaque pra todas as faixas, com um carinho especial pra Either Side, Ridiculous Man, This is not the Medway Sound e Natural Misanthrope (sempre dando atenção às letras neuróticas do cara). Baixem agora!

Another Medway genius, his music can be described without a doubt as Medway delta blues, being as punk and lo-fi as blues can be. Having collaborated with Billy Childish (Devil in the Flesh) and Holly Golightly (Painted On) in the past, I went to search for his solo efforts and found out that he's much better when playing on himself or with his Broken Revue. Highlights go to Eithr Side, Ridiculous Man, This is not the Medway Sound and Natural Misanthrope (never forget paying attention to his twisted neurotical lyrics). Get it now!

Screaming Lord Sutch & the Savages

Screaming Lord Sutch é mais um dos gênios não reconhecidos da história do rock. Apesar de seu rockabilly / garage maníaco, suas letras cheias de zumbis e assassinos e seus amigos importantes (Keith Moon, Jimmy Page e não sei mais quem), pouca gente conhece o trabalho deste senhor completamente insano. Não consegui achar informação sobre o disco que vou postar, quanto mais a capa, a discografia do cara é muito confusa, mas aparentemente é uma coletânea. Destaque pra todas as músicas, mas principalmente pra versão original de Jack the Ripper, que todos que visitam o blog provavelmente já conhecem com outras bandas.

Screaming Lord Sutch is another unrecognized rock'n'roll genius. Despite his frantic rockabilly / garage rock sound, his lyrics driven by zombies and killers and his important friends (Keith Moon, Jimmy Page and lots of other people), most people never heard of this utterly insane gentleman. I couldn't find bigger info about this album, his discography is a mess and little info is availabe. Every song is a gem, but the highlight is the original version of Jack the Ripper, that most visitors of this blog must have heard with another bands.
