Banda sueca, o nome mais apropriado pro som deles é 'horror country', trilha sonora pra faroeste de terror. A banda começou em algum ponto do meio dos anos 90, e esse é o último disco lançado por eles. Sem muito mais o que dizer, recomendo altamente o download.

Sweedishband, the most appropriate name for what they play is 'horror country', western horror sondtrack. The band started in some point of the mid 90s, and that's their latest album. Nothing else to say, highly recommendable download.

Unknown Hinson é um vampiro caipira de 400 anos, conhecido por sua queda por sangue, damas, bebida e armas; após trabalhar num circo e cumprir pena por assassinato, roubo de tumbas e casos de paternidade, ele decidiu voltar à sua carreira, que influenciou nomes como Jimi Hendrix, Beatles e Hank Williams. A música feita por Unknown é basicamente country / rockabilly, com um certo peso em algumas músicas, como Rock'n'Roll is Straight from hell e Lingerie, enquanto outras, como Venus Bound e Your Man...(atenção na letra) são puro country tradicional. Disco excelente, artista excelente, Unknown deve figurar aqui novamente no futuro.

Unknown Hinson is a 400 hundred year old hillbilly vampire, known for his love of blood, ladies, booze and guns; after working in a carnival and bing arrested for murder, grave robbin and paternity suits, he decided to get back to his musical career, that influenced names like Jimi Hendrix, Beatles and Hank Williams (“Them boys owe me hundreds!”). The music made by Unknown is basically country / rockabilly, and while som others tend to blues rock, as Rock'n'Roll is Straight from Hell and Lingerie, others, like Venus Bound and Your Man...(WONDERFUL lyrics) are pure traditional country. Excelent album, excelent artists, Unknown will be back to this blog in th future.

The Projectiles - Some Things Never Change EP / Hanging Out album

Não entendi se o disco inteiro foi gravado (bem) depois do EP ou se é uma coletânea com as gravações da banda, fato é que os Projectiles não escondem o que querem fazer : garage rock puro e sem frescura. Vindos de Rochester, NY (terra dos Chesterfield Kings), lançaram (até onde eu sei) esse EP, esse álbum e um outro single sem nome, que dentre outras duas faixas, contem um cover de (I Wanna Come Back from) the World LSD, que eu gostaria MUITO de ouvir. Se alguém for capaz de achar alguma outra informação ou material sobre a banda, eu ficaria MUITO feliz se essa pessoa compartialhasse tal maravilha.

I don't understand if the whole album was released (way) after the EP or if it's a comp with the band's recordings, but it's a fact, the Projectiles don't hide what they want : pure and raw garage rock. Hailing from rochester, NY (Land of th Chesterfield Kings), they've released (as far as i know) this EP, this album and a 3rd untitled single, that, amongst other 2 tracks, contains a (I Wanna come back from) The World of LSD cover that I would LOVE to listen to. If someone has any other information or material about the band, i'd be VERY glad if that person shared such wonder.

The Primates - We are the Primates

Banda de Youngstown, Ohio, se mudaram pra Los Angeles e se tornaram uma espécie de sensação da cena garage local. Timothy Gassen relata em seu livro, Knights of Fuzz, que se encontrou com os membros da banda uma vez e perguntou de onde eles tiravam inspiração, ao que eles responderam George, o Curioso e que um dos integrantes da banda disse que "Se alguma vez você fez um barulho de macaco na sua vida, você gostará desse álbum", e é exatamente isso que você vai achar nesse disco, pura insanidade, nonsense, fuzz, fuzz e mais fuzz, letras abordando os temas de sempre (garotas, traição, macacos e freaks) da maneira mais simples possível, ou, em uma palavra, pura diversão

Originally from Youngstown, Ohio, the band moved to LA and became some sort of local sensation on the area's garage scene. Timothy Gassen tells in his Knights of Fuzz book that he met the members once and asked where they took inspiration from, to wich they replied "Curious George", and that one of the band members said "If you've ever made a monkey noise in your life, you'll like this album", and that's exactly what you find in it, pure insanity, nonsense, fuzz, fuzz and fuzz, lyrics talking about the usual (girls, cheating, freaks and monkeys) on the rawest way, or, in one single word, fun.
